Recent history and 2026
A Five-Year Evolution
2021: STUFFit celebrated its 10th Anniversary as a school-based after-school program at St John’s College Nambour.
2022–2023: The festival transitioned into a social enterprise model, building an operational base, refining its purpose and testing early collaborative projects.
2024: The first year offering Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Certificate III in Events saw three students graduate. Industry engagement deepened, supported by a $50,000 grant from the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation to explore regional expansion.
2025: With new full-time premises at 37 Howard Street Nambour, Cultivate the Chaos strengthened its partnerships with QuEvents, Sunshine Coast Screen Collective, White House International and Light Industry to create meaningful work pathways through event collaboration. Six students graduated, two from Gympie joined mid-year, and a new YouTube project, STUFFit Yaps, showcased student interviews and sponsor road trips.
2026:
Certificate III in Events – cohorts at STUFFit, Heart of Gold, and Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show.
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – students will lead creative projects including developing NambourLive.com, a youth-led local broadcaster, and running a community arts exhibition series at the Old Ambulance Station.
